As one of the world’s highest quality olive growing region, according to the prestigious guide for extra virgin olive oils Flos Olei and ranked one of the 10 best wine destinations in Europe, Istria and Rovinj will provide you a paradise for your palate.

Let us excite all your senses with the finest selection of the best Istrian extra virgin olive oil and arrange a visit to the oil manufacturers, oil mills and taverns of the best Istrian olive growers whose tradition dates back to the Roman era, as evidenced by archaeological sites along the Istrian coast.

The red soil along the seaside and the white soil in the heartland give birth to bunches of delicious grapes that every Istrian man is proud of, which you could taste in organized thematic tours across the most modern and prestigious  wineries. Wine and nature lovers, check on the calendar the date of the 23rd of January, the Antonja – exhibition of wine and olive oil of the Rovinj area. In May, however, you can participate the Istria Wine & Walk adventure, through the northwestern Istria, where you can expect 11 km of inspiring walks through the vineyards, visiting the Istrian winemakers and local manufacturers that are waiting for you for refreshing stops.

Our breakfast abounds in local foods, flavors and scents of Istrian gardens, vineyards and olive groves. Passing among the excellent sea view  restaurants in the historical center to the hidden taverns in small courtyards and family agritourism, we would strongly recommend you to try the local dishes based on fish: squid soup, fish and crab stews, salted anchovies or marinated sardines, scallops, crabs, shrimps and asparagus, accompanied by the typical Istrian homemade pasta: pljukanci, fuži, njoki and krafi.

For the meat eaters there is nothing better than enjoying the Istrian meat delicacies: pršut – ham, ombolo (pork loin), venison stew and the Boškarin meat – Istrian beef and symbol of the region, but the culmination of the culinary excitement in Istria are the white and black truffles.

In early April you can taste in Rovinj´s restaurants all the Istrian specialties at the culinary event Along the paths of Rovinj delicacies.
